3b. Knowing about and using observation, documentation, and other appropriate assessment tools and approaches.
4 Year Old Checklist
I have learned that I can incorporate this assessment under NAEYC Standard 3b. because I used this age appropriate checklist as the best screening tool to collect relevant information about the level this particular student is currently performing at as compared to his last checklist baseline. This child continues to be observed for social/emotional and developmental delays.This checklist will document the improvements made or not made due to these suggestions being incorporated. This checklist will be used as part of the written Parent/Teacher Conference.

Language Observation and Interactions
This observation entailed conducting conversations with children 2 years to 5 years old. I was attempting was to determine at what age certain parts of speech were attained.
